Sunday Ride: Watching the Detectives

She’s filing her nails while they’re dragging the lake. Or while we take a spin round central London, we'll be Watching The Detectives. We’ll look for the haunts of fictional detectives, including three in Baker Street alone and another with a wife called Steve. 

There’ll be a spy or two as well, including a rather fat old man wedged between the pudding and the port. Twenty and a bit flat kilometres, or thereabouts, starting at Hyde Park Corner, finishing at Russell Square with its lovely café. And a loo stop.

And remember: "the lowest and vilest alleys in London do not present a more dreadful record of sin than does the smiling and beautiful countryside."
